Spaceport Cornwall is Europe’s first licensed spaceport and although we have unique intelligence on how to make launch happen, it is not all we do. We are developing a space and future flight ecosystem on-site and have opportunities for businesses to join us as we grow. Our future ambition is to have a world recognised cluster in the region working on all things space, flight, data, research and launch.

Launch
Spaceport Cornwall is the first licensed Spaceport in the UK and the only operational spaceport in Europe. Our expert team are ready to help with any operational enquiry and help you through the UK space licensing and regulation requirements.
Located at Cornwall Airport Newquay, an active civilian airport with passenger flights around the UK and Europe, Spaceport Cornwall is a fully integrated commercial Air and Space Port, providing competitive, sustainable, safe access to unique aviation and space environments.
In the same way that the Airport works with multiple flight operators, Spaceport Cornwall works with multiple launch providers.
Future flight
With open skies and a rich heritage of innovation, Cornwall is a natural place to test future flight technologies.
The Lizard Range at nearby Predannack Airfield is the UK’s best location for independent testing and evaluation of UAS technology. A number of drone companies have chosen to base themselves at Spaceport Cornwall and test at Predannack, ahead of mixed airspace being granted for commercial operations in the future.
Spaceport Cornwall is also supporting orbital return vehicles and other early stage future flight technology on site.
